About the Opportunity: Career Central is seeking enthusiastic and motivated Junior Test Java Developers to join our team at our Chennai HQ. This full-time role is ideal for recent graduates with 2-3 years of experience who are passionate about Java programming and eager to contribute to enterprise application development while growing their skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance of Java applications.
• Collaborate with senior developers to build scalable software solutions.
• Develop well-structured, maintainable, and efficient code aligning with coding guidelines and quality standards.
• Support software testing and bug-fixing activities.
• Learn and work with Core Java, Java Collections, and Object-Oriented Programming concepts.
• Participate in code reviews and development discussions.
• Assist in database design and SQL query development.
• Work on REST APIs and backend application development.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Core Java concepts.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
• Familiarity with Java programming and software development fundamentals.
• Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to learn modern frameworks such as Spring Boot and Microservices.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Spring Boot projects.
• Knowledge of RESTful web services.
• Familiarity with Git version control.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
• Experience with academic or personal Java projects.
• Exposure to cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is desirable but not mandatory.
